I've been tagged!

Seven random things about myself:

1. I don't remember a time in my life when i didn't know the story of The Hobbit. I was a hobbit throughout much of my childhood and, when i couldn't fall asleep at night, I would pretend that i was Bilbo Baggins waiting in the eerie silence at the mouth of the dragon's cave, deep within the lonely mountain. (This is, of course, entirely my father's fault.)

2. When i was really little my favorite color was red. Late in high school some time i decided i liked purple the most but i'm beginning to rediscover my love of red.

3. I'm still bitter that i didn't get to play Titania my senior year of high school. (Going into our senior year my friend and i discussed how, in an ideal world, we would do Midsummer in the fall so i could be Titania and then Annie in the spring so she could be Miss Hannigan. That these are the plays the director chose isn't that random -- we had some inkling that he would. But we had no idea that he would pass both of us over for our dream roles and cast younger students in a "show them they aren't entitled and recruit new players" sort of move.)

4. I'm still maliciously happy that the sophomore who did get the part of Titania flaked out and left the production without a major lead mere days before opening night. Ha!!

5. Winter is, without any doubt, my favorite time of year. I love the cold, i love sweaters and bundling up and i LOVE snow. (In an amazing bout of self-absorption I often secretly think that it snows just to make me happy.)

6. I get incredibly motion sick on swing sets but i love swinging on them anyway.

7. I actually like being tagged for these meme-y things 'cause i can then fill them out without feeling like i'm taking up more than my share of the lj bandwidth. I know that's silly but still...
