Several of you have asked what Cerridwynn means. So i figured i could use this forum to enlighten you all. Besides, i don't feel like working right now. Plus i've decided i should post more. I love reading all of your posts and i suppose this lj thing isn't a biproduct of our self-involved confessional society at all -- it's just an amusing space for expanded social interactions. And procrastination. Very important feature. (Does this mean that i've officially left my oversensitive, hypertheoretical and idealistic wes-student days behind??? I sorta hope not. Stupid MIT. Making me practical...)

But back to the point...

Cerridwynn means.... .... absolutely nothing. I needed an lj name. My name was, of course, taken. So i went to a baby naming website and scrolled through a bunch of names that i kinda liked and tried a bunch and finally found one that wasn't taken. Hence Cerridwynn.

But this story is boring. So my challenge to you, my creative friends, is to come up with a better explanation for my username's origin. As incentive to provide me with much procrastinatory amusement, the author of the best story (as determined by me) gets a cookie. Or maybe candy. Or coffee. Or beer. I don't know yet. But you'll get something tasty.

I figure the name should related to the icon. So the name of the flower is actually a Cerridwynn, which was given to somebody at sometime during something important.

No no no. Gee tar's got it all wrong. Cerridwynn is the name of a wayward fairy who got knocked up by a bogart from the next town over at her high school prom (which just happened to take place in a tulip).

Not wanting her offspring to know the shame of being branded as a product of mythological miscegenation, she left you, a changeling baby, at your adopted parent's doorstep to be raised as human. And you, having recently learned of your faerie parentage, honor your disgraced dame by using her name as you LJ handle.
